I'm not really interested in Games on Demand. I like having physical copies of my games...
I'm more just looking forward to what props my friends will be playing with when I look at my friends list! Even if I'm not going to buy anything, it's still nice to see change. It's refreshing. I'm awaiting Twitter, Facebook (and also last.fm) too.
I think the ideas are neat but yeah, I don't have access to Netflix so...
But we're getting a Sky (the UK equivalent of Fox) package in the UK. Sure you have to pay a bit extra but it could be worth it. =)
You know, I find the thought of someone not knowing Pong odd. But, when you think about it, some kids who play Halo and the likes probably don't. Hmph.
Wonderful, just wonderful. Inspiration, as is the current blind Paralympian on Dancing with the Stars in Australia.
According to wiki, he had his last one at 73! Thanks for that off-but-kinda-on-topic nugget of info. =p
Indeed, but there were quite a few people involved. The first poster mentions Ralph Baer and then you mention Allan Alcorn. Bushnell is the only one to my knowledge still kicking it in the games industry today though.
Good stuff. I'm looking forward to this. =)
Have to admit, I thought the same thing. =p But if they're in their 30s/40s, they've probably still got sharper reflexes!
I guess that's true. But I really think they've damaged the reputation they've been clawing back over the past couple of years.
I've not played the game but...it seems that the UFC game was done with much care. If what EA said about MMA being ridiculous is true, then I doubt we're gonna see something great. But they do have the tech and the resources...
Well, there are a number of Pong 'creators'. Bushnell is credited as one, but yes you're right...Ralph Baer should not be forgotten.
Btw, the supposed ban applies to UFC in general...not just the games...
But I really don't think he realises the full extent of it all and he does refer to Dana quite casually...maybe he hasn't spoke to him since the whole situation. Could be screwing his career up.

I dunno...I can't see why it's disappointing. Maybe depressing given the state of some of those studios...
Nothing in the article says it's decided. But Crytek said a few years ago they would leave if the ban was put in place.
The other petition was mentioned to show how uncomprimising the Bundestag are...
If only...
Spot on. Australia is already lagging behind with no 18+/R-rated games allowed.
Hmm...interesting. And if the forums and the blogs are up, then it's surely a sign that it's very soon.
